Welcome synapsid! My name is Mikail Afridi, also formerly known on social media as Mikailus and MikailTheKomodoDragon. I’m a 15-year-old (but I like to act more like a big wise old trilobite) with a passion of natural history, particularly palaeontology, zoology and astronomy, in a fun VHS aesthetic, inspired by educational home videos like Eyewitness. Birdwatching, stargazing and art are also hobbies of mine. The titular mascot of this channel, Mikailodon, my huge made-up and hybrid of my favourite animals: the European robin, Komodo dragon, sperm whale, ground sloth, Ankylosaurus, Camarasaurus, Iguanodon, Deinocheirus and Hatzegopteryx. It is essentially my nine favourite animals in one. 🐳

By the way, it’s pronounced "Mik-eye-ul", not "Mik-ay-ul" 🪐
