About Hope's Daughter

Like all of us I've had possessions, titles & labels. I thought that these represented my success or lack of it. Some are poor, mother of autistic son, middle class, performance poet, educator, homeowner, entrepreneur, wife, employer, author, speaker, divorcee, natural disaster victim, PhD candidate, narcissistic abuse survivor and more.

But no, success isn't determined by the things you have, nor words used to describe your existence. Rather, it's by the ability to overcome adversity, not harm yourself or others & still progress forward in spite of it. I've found refuge in learning that when we do overcome hardship a sense of hope is gained.

Hope was my mother's maiden name. She passed away due to C-19. My father passed 9 days after her from cancer. For over 20 years, hope has been the nucleus of my academic, creative & entrepreneurial work. It also saved my own life. And so, I want to share this transformative gift with you.
