I’ve played in bands most of my life, well, from about 14 and mostly on the Bass. During that time I’d always written songs, although never really ‘had the bottle’ to perform them. When I was 21 or so I moved up to Scarborough. The musicians and writers that I met up there had a prolific influence on me. I started to develop my style to more interesting fingerpicking styles, rhythms and (sometimes quite personal) lyrics. I moved back to Nottingham a number of years later and started to play the local cafe’s, pubs, bars, festivals and I’ve been on the radio a few times too. I’ve now started to venture out to different parts of the country. I’ve always been heavily influenced by Nick Drake, Bert Jansch, John Renbourn and Richard Thompson. I’m now on the lookout for new places to play, to increase my knowledge and continue on with my journey...
