Welcome to Janet Alexander’s Jewelry Classroom where I share my knowledge of over 45 years of metalsmithing.
This site offers free jewelry classes with step by step tutorials so you can learn basic jewelry making skills and then move onto learning how to create different projects.
I plan to have several sections with videos including Basic metalsmithing skills, Basic Metal Clay classes, How to use and setup metalsmithing tools, Making Argentium Silver Jewelry, and making sterling silver jewelry.

Janet is an accomplished metal artist earning a BFA in Metals, jeweler, and author. She is a Finalist Winner in the prestigious 2015 Saul Bell Jewelry Design Completion and won the 2004 Craft Houston Contemporary Art competition.
Her work exhibited in several museums, and she appeared on HGTV Crafters Coast to Coast.
Her work is published in several books and magazines including Lapidary Journal Jewelry Artist; The Gemmys 2015, Contemporary Metal Clay Rings, American Craft Magazine,
