This channel was created to preserve the memory of a grey squirrel we named Elway.
She was abandoned by her mother after a raccoon attacked the squirrel nesting box that she, her mother, and another baby were sleeping in. Elway had only been a few days old when the attack happened. The mother heard the raccoon as it was getting close to the box and she fled. The raccoon could not get to the babies because of the way I designed the box and soon gave up. The mother eventually came back for only one of her babies after the attack and never returned.
