Lady DadA is a painter, drag performer, and post-modern pop artist. They are from the Midwest, United States, and are based in Chicago, IL. Lady DadA is the current transformation and (r)evolution from earlier forms of their politicized drag personas Demi Cratic and Karley Marx. Because art and drag are lived parts of a real-life, DadA's lived experience in policy scholarship, practice, and art clearly intertwines. Art has been and will always be a reflection and driver of global politics, economies, religions, sciences, ideologies, ethics, triumphs, and failures. Art also has the power to individually transform one's inner world. Lady Karley DaDA Marx is a play off of Western politics and popular culture, Karl Marx, Labor aesthetics, the intersections of critical and queer theory, and deeply political-Dadaist influences. They are known for their surreal image reinventions, pop-art paintings, and theoretical, artistic connections between art, popular culture, and entertainment.
