The duo made up of SoCal natives Alexandra Johnstone and Scott Watson, immediately captured attention with their debut single "This Time." Released in 2019 by Dangerbird Records, the track piqued the interest of Chris Coady, famed for his collaborations with Beach House and DIIV, with whom they would embark on the creation of their debut EP.

Their sound has been described as “dream pop meets 70s AM” a synthesis of Fleetwood Mac’s soft-rock California sound with the darker hues of dream pop, living where the surf meets shadowy undertow.

With a past deeply embedded in the LA music scene, Johnstone was the main songwriter for White Dove (formerly known as Monster) while Watson left his mark during Silverlake's musical zenith with various rock outfits.

Their latest single Red Hot Dust was praised by Grimy Goods as a "bittersweet wonderment that signals a truly enchanting debut is on the way.”
