When you value someone more than they value you, you will have to sacrifice your own “self-worth” in order to remain in that relationship, friendship, or job where you are not valued. It’s impossible to maintain your self worth when you are with someone who doesn’t respect you or appreciate your value. You will end up lowering your own value in order to fit. It can happen slowly over time.
Alternatively, when two people value one another, they make each other a priority. You can maintain your self worth and the relationship because you don’t have to choose between the two. Don’t fall into the trap of valuing someone who doesn’t respect and value you. Pick up your self worth and “buh bye”
