Full-Time Exploring Off-Grid 4x4 Life

I’m retired enjoying my sunset years transitioned to full-time solo RV travel. I’m taking a few years as a sabbatical, having completely cut loose to explore roads less travelled.

My current RV is a ‘modified’ Class B+, Born Free model BF23RK, built on a 1999 Ford E-450 V10 6.8L, with a 4x4 conversion.

My new enclosed trailer is a 2024 Cargo Craft tandem 8.5x12 Offroad Toy Hauler. It is used to primarily carry camping gear, extra provisions, spare water & fuel, and the toys: a 2020 Honda Rubicon Deluxe 4x4 ATV, a 2023 Honda Grom, setup for off pavement and used as a camp bike for exploring, and a 12’ RIB boat.

I become awestruck by captivating scenery, experiencing memorable moments when confronted by nature’s raw beauty. As I explore these new horizons, I’m sometimes found outside of my comfort zone. This keeps life interesting.

So just because I’m not on the same road as others, it doesn’t mean I’m lost.
