It is a beautiful country that we live in, yet rarely do we see the hidden gems that are off the main roads. As I travel I am not always taking the easiest or best route to go someplace, but I sure am taking some fun ones.

Many back-roads show us things we never knew existed. Some seem to be the same scenery over and over; a twisty, winding road or tree after tree after tree as you pass through a forest or a wide open expanse that seems to go forever to the horizon. Yet each one can be different depending on weather, time of day, or who is traveling with you.

It isn't the destination, it is the journey that is fun and exciting.
