Ali Mearza FRCOphth is a co-founder and director at OCL Vision.
He is also a Senior Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at London's Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, the UK's first Academic Health Sciences Centre.
He was the clinical director of ophthalmology at Imperial for 5 years from 2016 - 2021 and led the transition to paperless records, oversaw the appointment of 10 additional consultants and guided the department through the Covid global pandemic amongst his many achievements.
His subspecialty interests are cornea, cataract and laser eye surgery. As well as treating eye disease, he specializes in reducing dependency on glasses and contact lenses.
His work has been featured on the Discovery Channel, E4, Channel 5 and in National Newspapers.
