Spiderman has been rebooted 3 times now. I actually really liked the original Toby McGuire Spiderman back in 2002. The third one was kinda whatever, but it as a fun series. The Amazing Spiderman with Andrew Garfield, while really flawed, was still fun.

Now with Spider-Man Homecoming, we have our third iteration. Only this time, Spiderman isn't a stand alone superhero. Now he has to fit into the Marvel Cinematic Avengers universe. And, in my opinion, Spiderman is worse for it.

A lot of the depth and complexity of Spiderman that we saw in the previous movies is gone. The character himself just felt so... generic? I guess. Maybe that's because he is 15 now, maybe not.

Also, the fact that he has his own Ironman suit really removed a lot of the tension and sense of danger. Early on, we know he can just pull out some new gadget, the AI will think of something, or Ironman himself will come and save the day.

Just felt so... boring, I guess.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this video. Like I said in my previous videos, I have to go back to relatively simpler videos because there is a good chance my work will get busier. I hope this video was up to your standards.
