please keep in mind that this project is mostly comprised of my opinions, i try to list some objective things, but i still judge programs by how much i like them, naturally. please don't be offended if i don't like a program that you use.
but i hope this helps people! i've been planning this for a long time.

sorry that i haven't posted anything for awhile. i'm thinking of starting up a new map soon?? but idk about that.
i've been focusing a bit more on drawing realism to focus on improving my skill in art than stylized art lately, and i've been taking a lot of classes of the subject. i want to draw stylized art, but i also need to develop my core art skills as well.

lately i've been thinking that rather than advertising, i want to be like, a concept artist or something like that for games? but i don't know. what i think i want changes every few months.

tldr:
sai: my favorite art program, rather old but very effective nonetheless
csp: probably objectively better than sai, but i think it feels robotic compared to sai, which is fluid. best suited for cartoon styles.
firealpaca: competent, but nothing else. good for beginners, but consider upgrading to sai or csp when you can.
krita: pretty bad, it's free so try it if you want, but don't expect much
photoshop: amazing program, but it is pretty pricy, and most amateur artists can achieve just as much in sai or csp
