So basically, this is the lineage of the prophet Muhammad (saw.) At school our teacher made us memorize his prodigy and so i thought it would be a good idea to share! So how this works is this is a chain of names of the prophets ancestors. You may or may not know that the prophet Muhammad's lineage connects back to Prophet Ismael or Ishmael, however the reason why we haven't linked it all the way back is because historians are unsure about the rest of the descendant's of the prophet after Adna'an.
