You’re really, really great, Chris. Please help people understand that the LMP date is not the same as length of pregnancy or gestation and a predictable 28 day cycle can be quite rare. It was especially infuriating to hear a politician say a six week ban “ gives women six weeks to decide” That’s seriously wrong chronologically but also assumes it’s always a simple and elective decision.

VOX Trump talking to MSNBC's Chris Matthews for a pretaped town hall in Wisconsin Matthews repeatedly pressed Trump on his anti-abortion views and asked if women should be criminally punished if abortion were outlawed in the US. Trump hedged at first: "Well, people in certain parts of the Republican Party, and conservative Republicans, would say, ‘Yes, it should be punished.'" Matthews pressed again: "The answer is there has to be some form of punishment," Trump said. "For the woman?" Matthews said. Trump said, "Yes," and nodded. "What about the guy that gets her pregnant?" Matthews asked. Matthews: "Is he responsible under the law for these abortions? Or is he not responsible for an abortion decision?" Trump stumbled a bit, then settled on: "I would say no."

This is very low on the list of 2024 election issues. In any event, the laws in some blue states are way behind most civillized European countires which limit it to 12 to 14 weeks.
