Censored Even in JAPAN?! 10 Odd Facts About the Pokémon Manga

It's sad that the manga is usually the last thing most fans think about when it comes to Pokémon.

After the games come out, I’d like to see 10 odd facts about Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee.

Personally I think the second longest runner adaptation of Pokemon, Pokemon Adventures, can manage a bunch of potential lists on it's own away from other manga. There's so much content packed in the Adventures manga to talk about. Mindblowing twists, Epic Battles (Pokemon Adventures easily has the best Pokemon battles!), Protagonists, Protagonists Teams (the team-building is really smart and interesting), Villains, Intense Moments, Heroic Moments, Sweet Heartwarming moments, Character Progressions, Lore and Facts, Usage of the Pokedex Entries, Powerful Trainers, Supporting Characters, Legendaries, Story lines, Story Arcs the list can go on and on!

This was awesome and worth the wait! Now, if only Pokespe is adapted into an anime...

I’ve got all the volumes of The Electric Tale of Pikachu. Great artwork. It was the first manga I ever bought! The ready for its controversial sexual imagery, is because the mangaka artist, Toshiro Ono, wrote and illustrated hentai manga.

So that's where people got the last name Berlitz for Dawn. I've seen this name get used alot in fanfictions, and I had no idea why they used that name.

Not really an odd fact, but I find it interesting that Daisy Oak’s childhood friend is an admin of Team Magma

I made the mistake of Googling the Electric Tale of Pikachu manga and it's basically just ecchi manga.

The craziest part to think of is all that someone drew all the inappropriate stuff in the Japanese manga

Regarding the Electric Tale of Pikachu manga: some of the objectionable stuff actually DID make it to the U.S., accidentally anyway. I bought the first two single issues of it when they first came out, and I guess cause they were from an early print run they somehow forgot to censor them. All you got were some rather well-endowed women (including Misty, oddly enough), and I was already a teenager by then so it's not like I was scarred for life by that or anything, but it was still pretty weird. They corrected this in later print runs, and I actually owned both versions for a while cause my best friend sold me her copies.

The weird thing about The Electric Tale of Pikachu is that even though the US release edits the sexy artwork, they actually allow the characters to say "hell" and "damn" a couple of times.
