MJ is such a great player as even when he is being guard by 2 to 3 defensive opponents, he knows when to pass or get through the gaps in such tight defense. GOAT!

Just the look of MJ, shows he was at least 40 years into the future 🔥

The true masterclass in that game IMHO.. was that Jordan completely and utterly shut down Dumars that game. I like Joe but it wasn't even close.

So true that MJ would read from the Bird script to become a champion realizing that even Superman can’t triumph until getting his supporting cast into the game, and my goodness he learned to do it well. And I couldnt think of two players who have influenced the game more to make younger players fun to watch. Bird/Jordan perhaps the best ever and what memorable playoff matchups.

Jordan dismantled that team and broke it apart

Then after the sweep, the pistons tucked their tails and ran into the locker room without shaking hands like the sore losers they were.

I’m pretty sure Pippen wasn’t an Allstar in 91. Jordan won a championship with no other Allstar in 91, and 98.

“Advanced age “of Bird team? Last time I checked, the 1998 champions were the oldest and they were Jordan’s team. No excuses

Actually the Pistons didn't stop Jordan himself. That's a myth that has to always be dispelled. The problem the Bulls had in the pre-championship years wasn't that Jordan was being "stopped" but it was a COLLECTIVE talent advantage those other teams had. Between '87 and '91, in 44 head to head matchups between the Bulls and Pistons counting regular season and playoffs, Jordan averaged 34.5 points per game which actually exceeds his career average in the regular season (30.1) and playoffs (33.4). Jordan was always the best player on the floor, whether it be against the Celtics, Pistons or Lakers but he never had the collective talent around him to match in order to give the Bulls a realistic shot of beating those teams.

MJ was never intimidated by Detroit, his teammates were but not Mike
  • @kesbie5390
Detroit was going for a 3 peat they were the defending champs for 2 years.. They made MJ into a beast.. MJ and the bulls beat them and the rest was history
  • @ForeignDanProd
If they never implemented the Jordan rules. How many Championships🏀 he would've won cause they couldn't of Stopped him hmmmm🤔
  • @bradywhatley970
1991 was the year Mike decided to play the Pistons like Bird would and he got Bird results, his first championship.
