I would honestly love a full version of "Ivy" or "Void", these are amazing.

At around 5:02 there is a leitmotif of the song "I have no voice actor and I must scream" which was made for dream bbq ENA's new voice video, this could imply that there is a story connection between power of potluck and dream bbq. Maybe since she was described as being a salesperson, ENA will have to sell "happiness" to various costumers while still unable to find her own? Or maybe the song rapresents ENA herself as a whole? Either way this is a interesting thing to include, very cool songs VLIF!

Ok, there's just WAY too much to unpack with "Ivy". First of all, there a complex two-chord implication with how the bass and arpeggios sound out, and the progression from "spooky haunted house" to "early game RPG library" is beautifully executed. The modulations used to transition between the two sections are incredible, and the two types of transitions we see (spooky>library and library>spooky) are as unique as they are emblematic of this song's unique and genius take on chord voicing. The slow-attack synth in the background of the second part superimposes 7maj chords over the minor and majors played by the harpsichord VST, and the lead and bass of the first/third/fifth "spooky" part adds depth to the typically banal style of minor voicing from the harpsichord. The voice of VST is VERY important with this "staunch yet innovative period piece vibe music", as the low detail harpsichord with low resolution reverb is EXTREMELY nostalgic (listen to the song's ending to see why), and the 32-bit slap bass is also very referential to games like Alicemare and Contact, played progressively and always leading to the next chord. Now, as can be said for any Jazz analysis-worthy song, I'm not sure just how much of this is intentional musically, but what I do know for a FACT is that VILF knew exactly what to do in the effort of crafting a HIGHLY specific and precise vibe piece. This song feels like a mix of these compositions: Matrix Theme - KH Re:Coded (7maj-adjacent chords) Penguins Dance - Space Funeral (harpischord bounce and baroque sound) Into The Thick Of It - Secret Of Mana (implied modulations) Eternal .Temp - Graham Kartna (bassline, implied modulations) Miracle Of The Stars - Alicemare (harpischord VST and chord shapes) La Chef Island - Contact (pitchbending quirky solo and chords/modulative ideas)
