This is a great game! Thematically it does its own thing, the world is very very coherently designed. Anything works if you build properly but there is some serious build craft to reach higher levels of the end game roguelite content. You can play up to highest difficulty with anything you make. There are multiple ways to get legendaries regardless of the end game content meaning you will eventually get your build where you want it. Then there's devotions, reputation rewards, end game bosses. The list goes on and on.
  • 5:00 BTW no resistance will help with aetherfire on the ground except for damage reduction items such as a sanctuary relic or aether cluster. You just have to power through it and drink a health potion. Don't try these areas in hardcore unless you are already familiar with where not to go (certain dead ends etc.)

I just started playing Grim Dawn I absolutely love this game. I actually uninstalled Diablo 4 the other day I couldn't handle the incompleteness of the game. Cheers

Watching this is like watching a tier 1 play through on D4. EZ mode

Great that you're enjoying Grim Dawn. I also enjoy playing Grim Dawn. One thing, you honestly do not need the exact same skill attached to both mouse buttons.

It is, This game is really good to be honest you can do any build for this game

"Grim Dawn is a great casual game" - never thought I'd hear these words. Try Veteran mode. Feels a lot less casual.
  • Grim Dawn is an ARPG that you imagine would be created by hard core D&D fans. It starts out simple and becomes perhaps the most open ended technical ARPG there is. There are currently 36 classes and every one of them is viable. In those 36 classes are untold ways of playing them and those a viable for end game as well. This is the only game I know that doesn't offer a false elusion of choice e.g. "piles of option to choose from" but only a few paths actually work end game. It's like that giant cool tree in Path of Exile when in fact there is only a handful of ways to be endgame viable. The tree is only an elusion of choice.

I concur. Bought this game 3 weeks ago & 5min ago cleared the Forgotten Gods dlc on ultimate now gonna start a new character
  • Well there's stress sometimes when playing HC. But no matter how you play, the near endless builds and gear make for awesome gaming. And the devs are still developing, fixing and balancing the game. You can play this one with confidence that you can have a fun, fair experience and get more than your $ worth.

Man, if Grim Dawn is casual, what's hardcore these days?

The gear for the most part is in the classic colour grading but there are items called monster infrequents that are always the green rarity but can be infinitely more power than even some of the legendary gear because of how it changes or adds to particular skills, especially if it drops as a double rare. Also the fact you are only using one skill is severely underpowering the damage you could be doing.

By title alone I can say "that's not a high hurdle to overcome"

Yes it is better than D3/4. i hope their next GD they get some the ideas thrown there by community, like in Ashes of Creation they picked the dual class and put unique flavour on combining skills, which could be made in GD.
