Saints of Virtue Walkthrough | Level 4: Domain of the Heart

Published 2021-01-23
This is as a complete a walkthrough as I can offer for the 1999 video game Saints of Virtue. This is a special game to me and is relatively obscure as far as I can tell. The only walkthrough on YouTube didn't capture the essence of a walkthrough for me.

Part IV: Domain of the Heart - Within this last level you will face the most difficult challenges yet. The Swamplands of Selfishness will bog you down and then you will have to overcome the many dangers in the Ruins of Pride. Right beyond the Path of Perseverance you will be able to reach the Temple of your heart. Somewhere deep within this massive ongoing construction, there lies the very throne room of your heart. Who sits upon that throne...only you can decide.

This level offers the most difficulty with the game engine. If you run this on a modern system, you will encounter some physics-based issues that may lead you unable to get through the Poison Pond, River of Garbage, Garbage Dump, Quicksand, and a chasm in the Ruins of Pride. For a video on how to get around these issues as well as other issues you may face in the game, check out my video here:    • Saints of Virtue | Fixing Common Issues

Played this when I was 8. It was so bizarre, quiet and eerie. Still sticks with me to this day. Christian stuff is always super weird

Great playthrough. Thanks for the upload.
  • That’s a well done playthrough. I only ever got past the first level as a kid, so I was curious how the rest of the game went. I don’t feel like I missed out tbh
  • One of my all-time favorite games, only ever really played it on the hardest difficulty and I've gotten to the end many time. Around 10 at least! Quite the experience, I would love to play this game again! It just doesn't work on modern devices, anyone have any tips? Thanks!

You do realize the sword launcher is effectively a rocket launcher right? Why do you insist on getting right up in their faces (pun somewhat intended) to use the weapon that deals indiscriminate AOE damage?
