I’ve been a jags fan since 95. I can honestly say Lawrence doesn’t deserve elite quarterback money, he is just to inconsistent .You never know who’s gonna show up from week to week. He is still far better than someone like a Blake Bortles but he isn’t elite!

It’s crazy how much the media condones mediocre play from certain qbs but if this was dak, Lamar, or other qbs that fits this profile it’s always a problem. Geno is better than this kid.

This is another aspect of the QB market that makes NO SENSE to me. He is under contract another year. Why TF would you pay him because better QBs got paid a year early? He has no leverage and has not proven himself.

I would argue Trevor should be getting a percentage stake in Jaguars ownership because of the role he's already played in securing the franchise's future in Jacksonville. They doesn't come out publicly with a proposal for the stadium renovations in Jax -- in which the city would've been on the hooked for a billion dollars, in the original version of the plan -- without the late run he and his team had to close out the 2022 season, It would've been a terrible image play for the Jaguars if they had presented that same plan coming off another bad season. That Trevor hasn't "looked" like an elite quarterback for a full season is honestly beside the point.

He deserves the franchise tag until he shows some consistency.
