  • The golf clubs in Guzma's house are also theorised to be golf clubs that he was beat with as a kid.
  • Another fun fact about Ghetsis: his Hydreigon in BW has the perfect type coverage to singlehandedly wipe out N’s team, legendary included
  • @cron1807
I never really thought of Team Skull as evil. They seem to be more young people forced into crime due to economic or social conditions, due to the numerous in game encounters and how the admin speaks to them and about them.
  • I laughed when you placed Mindi on this list, since I fell for that, as a kid, too. Also, I disagree with Chairman Rose being a huge plot twist, since I saw him being the main villain coming from a mile away.

Ok, but the villains of Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs are some of my favourite twist villains in any Pokémon game. You keep meeting these sweet old folks throughout the game, then it turns out they are actually retired master thieves who hired the Pokémon Pinchers to do all the dirty work so they could steal the golden armour of immortality and obtain a flying fortress/superweapon to rule the world. And upon a second playthrough you notice how many times you've actually been feeding information to the enemy through those casual conversations and that's why the Pinchers seemed to always be one step ahead of you. Totally blew my mind. Also Edward blows up Pichu's home island. And it's gone. Just completely wiped off the map. That's also worth a mention.

Imagine if the kid was the final boss of team rocket
  • I truly is wonder sometimes if Cyrus gave his Golbat to someone else to evolve it into a Crobat then gave it back to him. Or he just simply gave it enough affection (false affection) to evolve it into a Crobat because it needs to be stronger to be a more efficient tool.
  • @KLGB76
Imagine a fangame where Mindy is actually the boss of an evil team.
  • It’s speculated that the broken clubs are due to Guzma’s father being abusive towards him if he didn’t get first prize.
  • The description states that Lusamine is most likely alive under Geosenge Town's rubble instead of Lysandre. 😅
  • Guzma has a golf rivalry with Kahili... Okay, let's just disregard everything his mother said about how he won competitions with the move Swagger when she gives you the TM (explaining the trophies) and everything his dad said about how "he tried to knock some sense into his kid, but in the end he was the one who got beat".

This video turned out super well! Well done, Dobbs! It was a pleasure to help put this together.

8:33 for what I remember she literally loses to Jessie and James in the team flare arc in the anime so yes there is worst people out there than Jessie and James 😂
  • @ACE-es7zi
9:00 I always thought Gusma was beaten with a golf club by his dad as a kid.
  • @avatardoom
I think Meowth can still learn other moves. In journeys when palkia and dialga were rewinding time an alternate version of team rocket was there and that Meowth could use dark pulse even though he can talk
  • I thought the broken golf clubs were ment to show that guzma was heavily abused as a kid. I actually thought this was confirmed somewhere.
  • @giboit.
Rose´s plan does makes sense though. The energy emitted by the wishing stars is indeed incredibly useful as an energy source and used in many different fields but the wishing stars themselves (that are actually parts of Eternatus that got scattered 3000 years ago after its first defeat) aren´t unlimited. So it was required to recreate the events of the first of the first darkest day in order to ensure that the wishing stars could keep existing in the Galar region. But the experiments and the constant supply of wishing stars required to awake Eternatus also caused its awakening to accelerate every time making it even harder to contain and this why their plan couldn´t be delayed (and it´s also is the reason why you hear explosions through the story everytime you´re near hammerlocke). Rose was developing his plan based on his (incomplete/inaccurate) knowledge of the legend of Galar (the one that talks about how "a hero" was the one who stopped the first darkest day). Because of this, he needed two things: to bring back the darkest day (a.k.a Eternatus) and "a hero" to defeat it (and in current times, this would be Leon, the strongest trainer of the Galar region). Which made Leon´s cooperation an absolutely vital part of his plan. Rose isn´t really a bad person. He loves Galar, had a huge role in his development as a metropolis and has a great eye to find talented people that could help with that growth (Oleana, Leon, Bede, etc). But he does has some really strong ideals. And that´s why the scene where he expels Bede from the gym challenge for destroying the ancient mural is so important. Because is meant to show that Rose cuts associations with ANYONE that goes againts the well being of Galar in some way or another. And just like what happened with Bede, he also got dissapointed with Leon´s actions.Bede not only was the challenger endorsed by Rose, he was his plan B in case Leon refused to take part in his plan. But he lost this plan B the moment he got dissapointed in Bede´s actions and considered him unreliable. Also, the reunion with Leon in Rose Tower wasn´t Rose´s first attempt to convince Leon to participate in the plan. In fact, Oleana´s entire ambush to Leon on his way to the dinner with Hop and the player was their last attempt to get Leon´s cooperation by his own will. To the point where Oleana makes everything in her power to delay your (and Hop´s) arrival to the tower to gain as much time as she could for Rose to convince Leon, even if she herself had to battle againts the player to do it. At the end, this plan failed and Rose got dissapointed with Leon just like he did with Bede but he still needed him for his plan but Rose no longer trusted in Leon´s promises to help with the plan, which is part of why the plan couldn´t be delayed. So given the situation he needed to force Leon to cooperate (by awakening Eternatus in a way that Leon couldn´t ignore: during the final match of the gym challenge). So basically, the experiments caused Eternatus awakening to accelerate making it even harder to contain and this why their plan couldn´t be delayed (and it´s also why you hear explosions through the story everytime you´re near hammerlocke) and their reunion in Rose Tower was Rose´s last attempt to convince him to take part in the plan by his own will since Leon was vital for it. But he refused to take part in the plan for being dangerous so Rose cut associations with him and used the final match to force him to participate since he was still vital for the plan. And only you, the player, thanks to the fact that you went through the gym challenge, Sonia´s research in the places related to the legend and to the discovery of the lost ancient tapestry with the missing part of the legend (that hinted the location of the relics necessary to summon the legendaries that protected Galar), discovered the actual cause of Eternatus defeat 3000 years ago that no one else knew. And with Hop´s help you were able to summon the only ones that could actually defeat Eternatus (Zacian and Zamazenta), just like the two kings (ancestors of Swordward and Shieldbert) did in the past and saved the region (while also ensuring the future of Galar with the wishing stars being scattered once again through the region). Sorry for the ridiculously long comment. I tend to write a lot sometimes XD. But I hope this helps to understand Rose´s plan with Leon and the darkest day and why he did what he did.
  • You put the most evil villian in the history of pokemon I actually was wondering if she might be in the list. I'll never forget the evil thing Mindy did.
  • @zeospark9715
I loved the fact for Colress. Seriously his theme is such a kicker
