Alicia Keys might be the reigning queen of cool. But in the past few years, even as she was rocketing to new heights of fame, the private Alicia Keys was struggling with profound doubts about what she was doing, why she was doing it, and even who she was. Now, the multiple-Grammy-winner has paused for a little self-reflection in a new book ("More Myself: A Journey") and a new album ("Alicia"), which she discusses with correspondent Tracy Smith.

Loved how she was completely honest that when she was young she didn’t appreciate her mother as much as she does now. Just goes to show how everyone experiences they feeling. Especially when your young , you want your space. However when you get older, you start to appreciate those things and people
  • People are critical of you no matter what you do you can’t win just live your life

Adorable character. Her voice can heal minds. Never reveal her body, wears respectfully, talks calmly, man what a lady! I am jealous of swizbeetz.

I have a new love for Alicia keys because she's real and she doesn't have to show her body. Her voice and character speaks and thats all we need ❤️
  • How can such a perfect person be not self-confident and self loving? Beautiful and talented shining woman, loving mum, no divorce or drug scandals. Baby, you do it right

The interviewer is right about raising the hair on the body when hearing Fallin'. It still makes me feel that way

I Love Her So Much! Always saw her as a baby sister from the first moment she released her 1st song. I was so drawn to her because she was so YOUNG with such a PROFOUND, WISE AND POWERFUL SOUL!!💕💕🌺🌺🌺 I had bought the “JUST AS I AM” album in December 2007..... AND on August 20th, 2008, I lost my 16 year old son to suicide!!! I fell to pieces. While I was shopping for his funeral clothes, I kept listening to “Superwoman” —— I broke down and cry over a thousand times, but I knew I had to do the daunting task of getting him ready.... 😢😢😢 I remember just clinging to the “As I Am album” to keep my company!!! It felt like part of my beautiful baby sister was there with me giving me reassurance that I will get through it!!! 😢😢😢 It’s so AMAZING HOW THE EXISTENCE AND TALENT OF JUST ONE HUMAN BEING, CAN GIVE YOU HOPE, AND KEEP YOU GOING IN TIMES, WHEN YOU THOUGHT IT WAS THE END🙏🙏🙏🙏💙💖 Thanks Baby Sister 🌸💕
  • Wow, what a soulful interview. It came to an end and I thought it was break. I was hoping for more. By far the quickest 7 minute video I have ever watched. It's true when they say time flies when you are having fun.

39? Wow, She looks so young without make up. Makeup can age us.
  • I don't have a sister but I always said that Alecia was my play sister. She is so sweet, beautiful and genuine.
