Order "Return to the Kingdom of Fife" here: lnk.to/GH-ReturnToTheKingdomOfFife
New album out on June 2nd, 2023 via Napalm Records

The band comments:
"This tale begins long in the past, 1000 years before even Angus McFife was born. A simple peasant by the name of Zargothrax lived a peaceful existence weaving baskets in a village called Auchtermuchty, until the legendary hero Dundax decided to build a new Kingdom in his lands...the Kingdom of Fife. Follow the rise of Zargothrax into a twisted sorcerer of chaos and evil, as he seeks the ultimate revenge on the Prince of Fife and all his descendants!"

Can we just take a moment to realise how useless the re-animated statues guarding the fortress of crail were...
  • "Zargothrax: Master of Nightmares, Keeper of Celestial Flame, Sorcerer, Bound to the Darkness, Wizard King, Chaos Incarnate" is going to be hard to fit on a business card.

The animation in this video rules! Now if someone could just go ahead and produce a Gloryhammer animated series that would be great.
  • @Ex3quias
So... this is where the "Zargothrax did nothing wrong" meme will find its origin then. Fair enough.
  • Before: "Gee, magic sure is handy for weaving baskets." After: "WORSHIP MY OMNIPOTENCE."
  • @EdwardJHyde
Angus: "You destroyed Dundee, raised havoc, killed innocent people and kidnapped the princess! Why!?" Zargothrax: "You took my favorite weaving basket spot to build your kingdom."
  • I love how the animation timing implies they managed to build a city behind his back over the course of a morning without him noticing...
  • I think it's brilliant that all of Gloryhammer's Galactic Carnage started out as a classic Scottish feud. πŸ˜†

My man committed numerous war crimes to avenge his baskets THE DEDICATION

1:35 Hootsman: Giant muscles and decades of experience. Angus: a suit of magic armor and a hammer made by Gods. Ralathor: Pistol
  • Fun fact: At 2:20, you can briefly Angus fly by a pair of tablets with runes on them. If translated, these read "Abandon all hope ye who trespass upon the Fortress of Crail", which I think is an awesome attention to detail to something that's only in frame for less than a second. Amazing music video and gorgeous animation. I hope we see more music videos like this in the future.

Feels so surreal to finally have an on screen version of both The Unicorn Invasion of Dundee, and The Epic Rage of Furious Thunder. Animation is 10/10 and song is a banger. Way to go guys!
  • We need more animated Gloryhammer songs like this, imagine if they did Apocalypse 1992 and we got to see the Dwarven rage and the Hootsman exploding in real time
  • So basically Zargothrax is like a "what if Pacha" in The Emperor's New Groove when Kuzko actually destroys his village to build his swimming pool palace XD
  • @ajbolt7
0:31 I love how he actually moves the playback bar
  • @boxdynomite3
Making the Gloryhammer party look evil while defeating Zargothrax is quite a feat
  • @Celebrian13
I can not balieve that Zargothrax received sympathetic backstory, but all power to him!

I am running a Gloryhammer themed Dungeons and Dragons Adventure starting next week, and this has given me sooooooo much more information to build the world. And motivation to finish my prep.

I love how at the end of the Animation, Angus accidentally frees Zargothrax himself. Like it's destined to be. Such an artistic masterpiece that mixes music, beautiful animation and storytelling. Hope more music videos will get done like this!
