Yankees DESTROY Phillies | Jack Flaherty & Yandy Diaz INCOMING?

Published 2024-07-29
The Yankees picked up where they left off in Boston by dominating and obliterating the best team in baseball by 10 runs to the tune of a 14-4 win. Luis Gil looked great, the offense exploded for six homers including two from Aaron Judge and two from newcomer Jazz Chisholm. Gary and Jake in the first part of the episode break down the game and in the rest of the episode discuss what needs to be done at the deadline tomorrow for the Yankees to get ready for a World Series run.

Wow just wow. Amazing game. Chisholm has been nothing but smiles

Thanks for giving us an hour every time you guys are great! Yankees let's get some trades going!

Cabrera can play a ton of positions and hits over 240 potentially more.... Dude is very underrated
  • The runs we scored when Stanton was in the lineup and the runs we scored when he wasn't are the same. Diaz would be ideal, but we desperately need pitching. A starter if he's able to be a number two or three in our rotation and a reliever or two relievers if you do not get the starter. Go Yankees!

What a win that they needed. Stanton may struggle, but damn they need him. His presence only is so impacting.

Outside the Yankee players Jazz was my favorite player to watch. I like his sort of style on the field I mean in the Red Sox game he had a reflective belt with an alien on it which I thought was really cool and had really cool cleats as well. Jazz doesn't have to be the guy anymore so i hope he continues to be the way he is right now.

I absolutely remember 3rd base coaches getting as far away as they could when Gary Sheffield was at bat.

Diaz would be a great addition. We need more hitting and contact

I’m glad Gary mentioned that Torres is or could have been an X factor on this team. I always said that had Torres just had a right frame of mind and played with hustle, the Yankees would have been to the World Series and even have won one or two. That’s why it pisses me off Torres never played to his potential…only whenever the hell he wants to. Such a waste of talent.
  • @yahcrack
Why y’all have to do us like that 😂

Torres sadly will no be moved I do not think. I'd love to see us grab another arm. Moving Nestor is smart tto do now while he has a extra year of control. Jazz seems comfortable at 3b. The bat will definitely play, I'm not worried about that. He seems very comfortable on this team already. I would say let's focus on starting pitching and Tanner to close games. Those need to be addressed.

I read between the lines when I listen to Torres interview, what he said was “I can barely play 2b and you want me to play 3rd” and do y’all remember the year he played SS
  • Verdugo may be traded and Torres is an almost certain trade, inserting Chisholm into the lineup and Stanton returning along with the first two players being removed create a very different lineup all by itself and then the possibility of Dominguez and a possible trade arrival would legitimately represent positive force multipliers without a doubt.
  • There's also the legit aspects of certain intangibles with any player in general but in the case of Chisholm specifically that are impossible to quantify, for instance the scenario of him relocating from a last place NL team to a playoff contending AL team such as the NY Yankees with the rich history inherently attached to the team along with the effect of simply putting on the Yankees pinstripe uniform can cause a dramatic impact on the player inspiring some level of transformative performance increases sometimes. Another aspect that can't be overlooked is the intense fan and media scrutiny that exists in NYC is something that not all athletes are prepared to or capable of handling.
