I live right inbetween the beautiful city of Bergamo and breathtaking Lake Iseo. Every time we come back from a holiday we have to admit that this region really has everything to offer. Lake Iseo is less known than Como and Garda but is as beautiful and far less crowded. My advice would be to go to make a stop at Solto Collina where you have a magnificent view one Lake Iseo and then continue to Riva di Solto which is a typical little Italian village on the shores of the lake. Driving around Lake Iseo (65 km's) by bike is fantastic.

For years I lived in Friuli and Rome, but now live on Lake Garda. It is without a doubt my favorite place to live. I would never live in Rome again.

Lake Iseo is an unexplored gem very close to Bergamo. It sits between Bergamo and Brescia -another underrated Beauty a 40 minute train ride from Verona. The whole region is well worth visiting. Franciacorta, the local sparkling wine is delicious. It’s nicer than Champagne
