The only guy who sings chewing gum and plays bass at the same time a real king
-
Mark King is simply one of the best bass players of all time.
-
hand for the drummer - what a groove and watching Mark all the time to make sure it fits - what a star
-
The drummer is kicking ass. What a rhythm section
-
I have played bass for many many years, and let me tell you this,, to play is one thing, but to play and sing is another... I can't even begin to tell you how difficult it would be to sing and play such an intricate and busy bass line like Mark king is playing in this song. He is from another planet. Total respect to a legend. I salute you. βππππππ

the best thing about jazz festival is, the sound engineers are top notch and you could hear details of every instruments played. man that bass drum sound mixed very well with mark's bass tone
-
Playing bass like that is hard enough ,but to be able to sing over the Top of it ..the whole band is incredible .musicians at the top of there Game !!!!
-
There's nothing quite like a Mike Lindup harmony. Mark King's vocal is flawless and what he plays while singing is insane. Amazing band
-
Superb musicians at the top of their game. Why this group doesn't get more recognition is a crime.
-
Level 42 started the jazz funk movement in the UK and then crossed over to become one of the biggest bands of the 80s.......Mark King is a legend π
-
Mark sings, play bass and synchro he jew a gum. Who else is doing that. He's a living legendπ
-
Wow this takes me back to being a 16/17 yr old who loved their music but never really appreciated what great musicians level 42 were, Iβm appreciating it now as a 58 yr old β€
-
"Love Games, yeah?" And within a second he proceeds to play something magical I can only dream of playing. Not to mention that killer improvisation before it. This man is something else, what an absolute legend.
-
Been following these guys since the 80's. One of my FAVORITE bands !!!!!
-
Sounds as good today as the 1st time I heard this in β82 , just magnificent
-
Fantastic musicians. Mark King is a God in the bass world. Having dabbled a bit with bass, I have no idea how he does the thumb thing. Total talent combined with genius is my guess. Wonderful.

My greatest disappointment, having lived in the UK, was not seeing Level 42 in concert, live. One of my alltime favorite bands. β¨οΈπ―π¨π¦π¨π¦
