  • Great tutorial... super easy to follow from the beginning to the end, THANKS!!
  • @barbs1956
Thank you, I was struggling for about a week to get my ring doorbell connected.
  • @mrtroxful
Just wanted to point out that the ring doorbell comes with 2 pouches of screws (A & B). The B pouch, that you did not show, has three shorter screws that MUST be used to attach the device to the mounting bracket. If you use the longer wood screws from the A pouch it could damage your battery etc.

They did just incase the monthly subscription price by 43% so do consider how expensive it is going to get and consider alternatives that are free once installed.
  • @mrbikerbob77
Very helpful for a newbie! Appreciate the thorough review!
  • @LS-rb1vs
A complete and easy to understand tutorial, thank you for posting.
  • @ZOELY89416
This version IS the wired version as well. That's what the two screws in the back are for.
  • @StitchingMae
Hey! The two screws above where you read about the voltage is where you can wire the doorbell in... it will also cause your home doorbells to ring too
  • @jewlcool99
This was the best “how to” ever! Now I will purchase Ring with confidence. TY

Thank you for this very thorough and helpful video Justin. Just to let you know that, at 13:06 in your video people can still see your address! Also, when you talk about motion sensitivity you said to increase it if you get a lot of people walking by and decrease it if you don't get many. In fact, it's the other way round. Worth noting too that you can only go back and preview recorded footage if you have paid for a Ring Protect subscription. I don't have one, but if I'm out and a motion is detected at my front door, I can look at the live feed in my Ring app and screenshot it so I have a record of who was at the door and when.
  • Not sure I would have ever discovered the orange button under the back. One would think they would included a little detailed info sheet. Instead, people struggle with trying to figure it out. Yes mine came with two packets A and B. A is 4 long screws with mollies. B is 3 tiny screws.
