May God bless you and your family and allow you to continue the great work you're doing. it's rare to see such a wholesome, honest, hard-working, loving family on social media. godspeed!!!!!!!
  • Years ago my property was logged in wet weather and the woods are still a mess. I have much respect for you waiting for some water to leave and the ground to freeze.

We had just had a major rain event here in Maine Sunday night and all day Monday. Major flooding, roads closed everywhere, trees down and many many power outages(had strong winds with the rain). What little snow we had is gone and same as you we have no frost yet. It was a very very wet summer and the loggers have been struggling, same as you they certainly depend on winter weather to survive and now this set back. I've been anxious to start cutting my firewood this winter as I rely on the snow and my snowmobile to get that done. Hopefully this pattern changes real soon and we can all get back in the woods! peace

i remember the flood story you guys spoke about way back, and the nightmare the boss man went through to save his family. go back and find the video, it's well worth a watch. i think it's called this event changed our lives.
  • Emerald and Jade here in Far North Queensland Australia Cyclone Jasper caused big floods. Barron River which flows from the Atherton Tablelands to the coast at Cairns was a one point was at a height of 13 meters of water before the Barron River Falls at Kuranda.Up stream at Mareeba about 40inches of rain fell over about 6 days.

I love Emerald's philosophical thoughtfulness. Emerald (and Jade) are "keepers" as in keep watching these videos, keep liking them, keep subscribing if you haven't already and keep supporting this awesome channel! My pond is high and that is a little disconcerting. That said, thank you Jesus for watering our forests! I would hate to have to do it. Water is heavy 8.34 lbs per gallon! Rain is a miracle if ain't flooding your house!
  • Yep! A very unusual winter beginning here also in Eastern QuĆ©bec. 4 monday 's in a row with huge melting snowfalls, electricity interruptions. Followed by freezing temperatures, then taw. And yesterday that massive rain fall, wow! All the axes chainsaws, mills, logging are at halt. So we do understand your situation.
  • Hello from Joe The Grower in NY yes flooding just destroyed our Farm store/ home. Sleeping in truck tonight.
  • Leaving us laughing - I got a chuckle out of the last minute hat trick - what a cool way to sell a hat! A very witty video ending, indeed!!!! :) Good luck in achieving dryness!!!
  • I love your background music... always good. Glad you guys are ok.
  • Hi, @Emerald! I know the smell you're referring to on the river. My former house in Owego, NY was flooded by the Susquehanna river in 2011 also. Fortunately, I got it re-built like new afterward. I'm sorry to hear that your house, too, was flooded in 2011. I really enjoy your videos.
  • Sorry about the flooding. I have been watching your videos for awhile, and your dad makes logging look easier with modern equipment when conditions are good. Just watched a YouTube video with an Amish (Titus Morris Extras) using horses to pull the logs and an episode of Out of Woods the showed mules pulling the logs.

Loved that video- the splendor of mother nature. Hope you do more of them--especially as winter arrives.
