Now just think .... what if Violet didn't jump in on time to save Dash? How would that soldier, that grown man, be able to sleep at night after murdering a child? Crazy son of a gun ....

I love how this movie portrays Dash using his powers freely for the first time. He stumbles and trips, he runs into bugs, he swings himself on a vine and launches himself off a cliff, he flinched before running of water and then laughs maniacally once he realizes he can actually run on water. So good.

when you realized that Violet was actually gonna take a bullet for Dash but somehow managed to activate her force field...

“How are you doing that?” “I don’t know.” The significance of this was lost on me until recently. Violet didn’t know her force field would pop up to protect them, but she jumped in front of Dash anyway.

I think this is still the best portrayal of speed in cinema. His limbs are moving at a speed that matches the distance he's traveling. He still carries a believable amount of momentum since he's not stopping on a dime or making 90 degree turns. Its just perfect and endlessly entertaining

Almost 2 decades later and still when dash laughs after realizing he can run on water (3:08) is my favorite kind of laugh

I appreciate that the grunts in this movie aren’t incompetent jobbers the whole time, they actually try to outsmart/outplay Violet and Dash (and in the case of the grunt hunting Violet, he actually succeeds by throwing the sand at her, before he gets blitzed by Dash)

3:06 this is just so accurate to how a kid would react to being able to run on water. Also Michael Giacchino’s score getting louder after this moment just chef’s kiss

The guard who almost kill Violet is one of the most competent henchman in any action movie

Dash's little laugh when he realises he's so fast he can run on water is so pure It's like these kids have been holding back their powers all their life and now can push themselves to the best of their abilities

I really enjoy that, despite their powers, neither of them have some bs super strength too. Dash's punches hardly do anything to a full grown man and violet can't incapacitate the guard even when she hits him over the head. They may be superheroes, but they still have the strength of children

Kudos to Dash and Violet protecting each other in that instance.

I like how dash and violet have bro and sis arguments and issues thru the movie like any other normal family...but when it comes down to it they look out and save each other

Dash is only 10 yet he can run at almost 200mph. Imagine how fast he'd be when he's in his 20's. Dude's gonna be running at Mach levels!

Unintentionally, Syndrome’s guard saved Dash from crashing into the cliff by punching him of his velocipod.
