Yes it didn't go down the way they thought it would. I dealt with the hurt , the devastation, the cruelty, and finally l decided having them out of my life was much better than having the control and toxicity even if they were family. They have never owned up to what they did and too much time has passed. And yes they hide behind a mask of fakeness.

You are very gifted. Absolutely! You describe my sick ex partner. He pretends to be fun, funny, smart, sexy, likable. He is an empty shell. A con artist, manipulator. He is mentally ill. I got away from him. He kept chasing me and i finally had to block him. He was all about how I made him look, how people talked to me, how they looked at me when I walked into a room. I told him that I was going to start a new career. He told me that I wouldn’t be successful! Then, since he lost all his money recently, when his wife divorced him and everything was hers! he wanted me to prove it to him, so I could share the bills with him!! I wish him well and wish him healing.
