The general strategy for beating Malenia is to apply some sort of status effect to her, as far as I can tell. Bleed and/or Frost seem to work best. Good luck!

Here was my setup:
- Starting Class: Astrologer
- Stats: 29 Vigor, 13 Endurance, 40 Mind, 9 Strength, 17 Dexterity, 80 Intelligence, 7 Faith, 9 Arcane
- Ashes: Black Knife Tiche
- Talismans: Radagon Icon, Godfrey Icon, Graven-School Talisman, and Graven-Mass Talisman
- Spells: Ranni's Dark Moon, Rock Sling, Adula's Moonblade
- Flask of Wondrous Physick: Cerulean Hidden Tear, Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear
- Weapons: Cast from Carian Regal Scepter +10 in one hand and swap to a staff with beneficial stats for whichever spell in the other -- switching between Lusat's when your Wondrous Physick is active and you're spamming Dark Moon and Meteorite otherwise.
