  • Such a strange '80s clip: Wogon's aesthetic looks like something from the '70s, and Max Headroom's aesthetic looks like something from the '90s. It's as if they got in time machines to meet midway in the 80s.

Why does this feel way ahead of its time? I cannot help but see some of Max Headroom in Jim Carey's performances.
  • Max Headroom was of course portrayed by actor Matt Frewer under layers of makeup and prosthetics, and a fair bit of electronic and video trickery. Now that technology allows us to create actual virtual characters, why hasn't anyone created a genuine computer generated Max Headroom?

too bad Zoom doesn't have a Max Headroom filter, with frame skips and glitches

Matthew Frewer, raised in Canada, played the role of Berlinghoff Rasmussen in the Star Trek: The Next Generation fifth season episode "A Matter of Time".

Max Headroom has the most delightful nonsense that I have ever seen.

I was 19 at the time, and loved it all. All this doom and gloom about Thatcher I and everyone I knew had loads of money then. Not so much now
