Love it when the algorithm decides to hand me a solid video from a smaller creator. Quality content! Also, seeing some of the old headsets (and the associated video footage regarding them) took me on a brief back in time... Thank you c:

Just to clarity, the DK2 did have 6 degrees of freedom for head tracking. That was the purpose of the camera. But yeah, pretty good video
  • @RazzJT
Super well made! I really enjoyed the fact you went into a lot of detail!

Fun fact about the Samsung gear vr, probably a good reason why it has sold loads of units is because it was heavily used in many vr experiences (due to the fact that it was so cheap) like in zoos, malls, or quite notably theme parks, as some years ago there was a boom of theme parks putting vr headsets on coasters to augment the experience and the headset of choice was often this one. Although as you may notice that was only a fad that lasted only a few years due to the unreliability of the headset when used this much and the obvious hygienic problems, but one park ( Thorpe park in the uk ) did build from the ground up a ride that use htc vive headsets instead, but this wasn’t a coaster but instead an horror dark ride, and it too last year was completely changed, and amongst the changes they removed the vr headsets.

this came on autoplay while I was trouble shooting skyrim VR, good vid - I assumed it was from a way bigger channel until I looked down. making sure to watch it all the way for the algo
  • @lizzieqq
had been watching a few vr videos as of late and got this reccomended to me - was very surprised to realise midway through the video that it's from a small channel and has so few views! this is a great video and deserves way more attention and recommendation! keep it up

Bro you are hella underrated, very solid video with proper R&D. Goodluck on your upcoming videos.
  • @Dindonmasker
I had a dk2 and it was amazing! It pushed me to start investing in bigger PCs and then purchased rift s, quest 1, 2 and pro. I now use VR daily for more then 10hrs for work and entertainment.
  • @UhDoggo_
Man it’s always the small creators that have the best vids, loved the video and looking forward to more!
  • @Jrojas989
The Oculus DK1 did have IPD adjustment...in the form of removable little plastic insertable lenses, which I didn't remember until this video. thanks for the trip down memory lane!
  • @Skeeva007
Minus a few inaccuracies, this is a great video! Nicely done
  • @BLAHAJ_GAMING431
I watched this video when it had only 59 views, but I forgot to leave a comment! Please make more videos like this. The smallest creators are always the best. I may be a stranger on the internet, but I will try to support you in the ways I can. Good luck and may the algorithm bless you.
  • @abibaker6384
you deserve way more attention on this video man... really great stuff
  • @jvl07_
This video is really cool!! Very straightforward and concise, even though there are some little important details missing from each headset, but it's good enough if you want to know the very basics of the Oculus headsets line, nice work!
  • @huskytvleon
This video looks so professional. Like those videos from people over 1 mil. Keep it up my man, I can see success!
