I am greatly enjoying the increased frequency of speedrun videos lately.
-
That was a thriller! I wasn't as calm as Eric was.
-
The amazing thing about the last game is how Eric is able to keep calm under a very stressful situation. Think about it from Eric's point of view. He is an international master, playing a 1700 rated player, and he is on 130+ unbeaten run playing with black down on time and realizing he is cooked. Talk about fear of embarrassment losing to a less rated player, or the fear of ending a winning streak, or the mental block that comes to us when we realize there is not enough time left in the game and we are way behind on the clock. Yet, he was calm throughout the last 90 seconds and able to focus and play all the right moves and win. Great lesson of controlling emotions and keeping your focus and of course a great lesson of never giving up.

That tactic in Game 1 is so filthy. Beautiful line.
-
Found that tactic in the first game really fascinating as when I'd be sacking a Knight for a pawn like that its usually with a follow up with taking the pawn with the Bishop. Always great to see new patterns.
-
This is better than Christmas, 3 speed run videos in 10 days... AMAZING!!
-
caught it just as it uploaded! so glad you're doing these more often now. always enjoy watching you show no mercy!
-
20:43 It took me a good while after hearing this to remember that it is still possible for Eric to lose. I've been subconsciously thinking he always wins lol
-
I really enjoy watching your games especially the way you explain your thoughts and theory behind your moves. These speed runs are my favourite things to watch on YouTube at this time.
-
I see Eric is featured in today's "Chess winning move" column in The Times (UK). It is a position from Rosen-Vlasssov, Titled Tuesday 2024.
-
5:15 "....when I was around this rating - back when I was 10 or 11 years old" - casual

Eric: Everything's under control now. Eric's Clock: 13.4 seconds YouTube: Here's an ad you can't skip. Also YouTube: Here's another ad. ARRRRRRRRGH!
-
I have an essay for my class due today and I just started, I got a notification saying that theres a new video. im gonna watch it. Am i cooked Update: I watched the video and am currently working on the essay, I should be able to finish it 🤞🤞

that last one was a thriller!! go eric!
-
Eric is taking speedrun to a whole new level
-
Wow, that first game was an opening slaughter.
-
"Everythings under control now" 12 seconds left. That was awesome! Most heart pounding game yet. I really thought you were a goner. Then when opponent got low on time they started making mistakes. Down to 5 seconds! Yeah could have went for the bishop takes knight and doubled the pawns sooner. Seemed like would have been a damaging move.
-
The only thing better than your chess is your personality, thanks for all the content!
-
These are my favorite videos!
-
I literally cannot keep up with the speed of uploads, which is a good thing! keep em coming
