I love your teaching style and artistic talent! I have had extensive experience working with rigid bodies in Blender. As mentioned in one of the comments, animating the 'driver plane' would provide greater control over its speed and position. Here are a few handy tips: 1. If you only want to modify the origin of an object, you can access the 'Options' drop-down menu, located under the shader style circles in the top right corner of the viewport. From there, select 'Origins,' allowing you to rotate, move, and scale just the object's origin without affecting the mesh. Remember to be in object mode to do this. 2. When dealing with rigid body simulations, it's crucial to apply the object's scale before running the simulation. You can achieve this by pressing Ctrl+A and selecting 'Scale.' Additionally, ensure that the origin is set to 'Origin to Center of Mass,' specifically using the '(Surface)' option in this case (this is for non-animated objects). 3. In the event of a crash, you can recover your work by going to the 'File' menu in the top right corner, selecting 'Recover,' and then 'Auto Save.' Blender automatically saves your progress every 5 minutes. 4. I'm a big fan of short cuts. So, I use a lot "," for "Orientation", "." (on top of the right Alt) for "Pivot Point" and "Ctrl+Shift+Tab" for "Snap to" menu Feel free to reach out to me if you have any doubts or questions. I'm always happy to assist the Blender community, especially with rigid body simulations. Thank you for sharing your valuable knowledge and contributing to the Blender community!

Hey Sophie , This tutorial and your methodology is GOLD , Thank you 🙏
  • @tatedinizbr
OMG! Yes! I was really looking forward to this series! Thank you, Sophie!

You can mark right page as "Animated" and animate the page rotation instead of using the force and gravity. Just place the origin of the page to the center of the world. Other than that, thanks for good tutorial. Did not know about hinges and how to use those
  • So great! Gonna have to try this soon! Thanks for making this. 🙏
  • Thank you Sophie. I really appreciate the mode how you teach. You did my jobs look more professional.
  • @Tatulak
This is totally gold! Thanks you so so so much for sharing! Pretty creative solution of a hard problem. I'm looking forward to try it. I may try to use the same logic in a game engine
  • @jahnocli
Subscribed! This is a tutorial series that I'm very interested in...
