This series is by far the best that Netflix has to offer. The cinematography was delicious. All of the actors did a stupendous job. I watched it twice!! I may watch it again. Loved it!

I thought the acting in this was absolutely fabulous… by ALL of the actors. Not to mention the lighting, cinematography and production design. The whole thing was just amazing. I wonder if there will be a second season because of the ending and also because it’s such a hit. Hope so.

I had not seen a TV series that combines such amazing performances, stunning photography, genius directing in years! This is a TV masterpiece!

This was THE MOST BEAUTIFULLY shot film.

It's weird that even though he's a killer, conman and so on you can't stop hoping for him to get away with it. So many great scenes. And I loved the slowness, the menace of it all. Even the black and white worked. Mind you, those bloody steps drove me crazy.
  • Judith DaSilva is by far one of the best interviewers out of the many who attempt to be as well-researched, articulate and knowledgeable on their subjects. The information these 3 top notch actors provided were due to Judith’s inciteful questions. Really makes one want to see this series! Major kudos Ms. DeSilva and to the Series’ creators and fine actors!

Eliot Sumner (Freddie Miles) and Maurizio Lombardi (Inspector Ravini) also gave some of the best scenes in the series. Love the way the director directed Ridley how to treat with dead bodies. Absolutely cold blooded. Sociopaths.

Such a wonderful interviewer! Intelligent questions that bring forth insightful answers from the tremendously talented actors. Thank you! I truly hope there is another series, there is certainly room for it. 💚☘️

My recent favorite series. Fantastic, methodical pace of story telling of a sly, cunning conman and sociopath covering his trails of his murders. Fantastic acting by Andrew, Dakota, Johnny and Eliot Sumner as Freddy Miles and the inspector. Very dark cinematography and very eerie atmosphere of Rome, Atrani, Venice and the other towns of Italy. Not to mention the style of clothing they wore reflected the subtle, understated style of fashion of the rich. Linen shirts and Ferragamo shoes. Loved the series. 👍🏼😎🆒⭐️

I am currently watching this on Netflix. I love it, it's so atmospheric in black and white. Andrew Scott is fantastic,I also loved Maurizio Lombardi as the inspector. I must mention the all seeing and hearing cat too.
  • Johnny Flynn is also an amazing folk singer/songwriter. He sang the theme tune to Detectorists. Lots of videos of his performances on YouTube.
  • Amazing show, great interview, Andrew's choice of garment on point as always 👌 But I came here for Johnny and Johnny only, that man is too precious, his shyness is so endearing ❤️

excellent work, wonderful photography. It is difficult to show a wonderful renewal of a story that has already been told. The acting is a masterpiece.
  • It’s amazing how actors really appreciate thought out questions. It’s appreciated as an audience as well. It’s lovely to see a journalist take the time to analyze a film, or art in general, and pick up little things. To then craft a question that compliments the work, whilst also being thought provoking, isn’t something I see much - which speaks volumes of this wonderful interview.

Andrew Scott's portrayal of Ripley being charming was also sinister at the same time, an awkward, creepy and completely false charming. I really enjoyed this interpretation of the book, especially the even darker theme of this one compared to the film. Hopefully the team is allowed to move onto the other books.

P S, details on stairs, statues, cameras setting - beautiful. Again congrats

Most interviewers are so bad and ask just the worst questions, she’s incredible. I love Ripley and she got them talking about exactly what I wanted to hear about.
