This series has been so real and it is amazing to see someone who is so willing to admit that not everything is easy all the time. Thank you!!
  • @breaavril
sometimes i feel weird for getting anxious about hanging out with people but you make me feel so understood 😭 you're so real and i appreciate your honesty and vulnerability in all of your videos
  • The moving diaries is the most realistic series I’ve seen, it feels like just watching a friend. You’ve shown real feelings and experiences that people can actually relate to. Love this series Des!!🩷🩷🩷

practicing how to say hi in the car ride over is the most real thing ever

It's crazy how nobody is talking about the banned ebook on dating "Magnetic Aura" from Borlest
  • des as someone with major anxiety hearing you talk about your internal thoughts is so comforting. this age and season in life is crazy and can feel so isolating but it is so nice to see a youtuber that i love relate to me. so proud of you for putting yourself out there 🫶
  • I love how open she is about moving because it makes others feel welcome too!
  • I also get really bad anxiety about going places alone and just being in public in general, and it's really comforting to know I'm not the only one! Love these videos sm! (:
  • Bestie des please never stop posting these moving dairies they are my comfort videos at this point 🫶🏻💓

Destiny! You are 100% not alone. I get so nervous talking to people, even if I know them. Especially when I talk about myself. Going to places alone and talking to new people is nerve wracking! I asked a guy if I could pet his dog, he said yes! I was so excited and nervous I ended up walking away, thanking him, without ever petting his dog. I still think about that interaction a week later.
  • I just moved to a new city two weeks ago by myself - I don't know a SINGLE person here. I was so scared and my heart has been aching for comfort and familiarity and I can relate so much to everything in these moving vlogs. I've been pushing myself to do the same things (going places by myself, meeting new people, etc.) and it is so scary. It's been so comforting to sit down and watch someone going through the same thing as me. It's made me feel less alone, so thank you for being vulnerable and sharing this journey with us!!

Something that has really helped me with feeling uncomfortable in new places and worrying about what people think of me is this. How often are you looking at others and judging them and thinking about what they’re doing?….. like never! Then I realized that that’s the same for everyone else, they don’t care about me or what I’m doing because they’re more worried about themselves. Realizing that nobody is thinking or worrying about me was really freeing.
  • the anxiety that comes with hanging out with people is SO real and so normal but it’ll get better over time! This series is so comforting bc I’ve also moved out on my own in Austin and even though i’ve been here for years for school, it feels like I’m starting all over again. You got this Destiny and hopefully I’ll run into you at some point at a bookstore or coffee shop :)

I did a similar self challenge after I found a great therapist and started medication for my anxiety. Journaling was truly life changing and it helped me figure out how best to verbalize my feelings. It's magical how baby steps can slowly turn into larger and more confident steps! 💗
  • These videos are so comforting. The way that you've allowed us to see the vulnerable parts of your moving journey but also the happy ones is so amazing. You are amazing Des!!!
  • Hi Destiny - I love this series. I feel that you are doing an amazing job. Putting yourself out there is so difficult for us introverts. I am 64 years old and still have to talk myself up to do certain things. In a recent year, I bought concert tickets to a person that my husband and I both love, but we live in a teeny tiny town. Literally zero traffic and everyone knows each other. The concert was in San Francisco, 5 hours away. Both my husband and I very nearly talked ourselves out of going. We were so nervous about driving/parking/interacting with people in a big city. We had to talk each other up and tell ourselves that at any point, if we wanted to turn around and go home, we would. Long story short - the show was fabulous and we were both so happy we did it. Baby steps, and keep trying. Take care -

i feel so much better knowing someone else has this same feeling as me whenever i'm out alone. it really is terrifying but im proud that you did this!!
  • I never comment on videos, but I’m about to go to college and live away from my family for the first time ever and it is helping so much to watch this series and see someone who’s struggles I can relate to, and it’s really inspiring to see you step out of your comfort zone!! <3
  • The way you explain how you think and/or how your brain works makes me feel not alone! And the way I also pick apart every single thing I say to people, oh my goodness girl I feel you. This whole video is everything I needed to hear and see, thank you! I hope you are enjoying your Texas adventures!
