I don’t know how people can say it’s a bad installation video. I’ve never installed a lock before, followed your instructions step by step and the lock works perfectly. It only took minutes. Thank you.

Thank you for a great video! I was a little confused with the set screws, watched your video and it all made sense!

These can in fact be installed outside. Had one on my shed for 2 years. It’s been rained on and still works fine.

Not for outdoor use !!!!!! What is the point ? Protect the porn under your bed from your parents? Keep the kids out of the wine cellar? The dog out of the bathroom when you'd rather not be watched? I just bought one now feel I need to return it but have torn the box.....No warning on the box says, "Not for outdoor use" but their site does say "Tested", nothing about the findings though. OMG what a horrible feeling. I think I've thrown away $125.00 !! Update: Lowes took it back no problem. Yaaaay Lowes !! I got a Schlage Light commercial one. The box specifically says it can be used on an exterior door. They too offer a cheaper home version for less than the Light Commercial Grade too. I'm grateful for this review. It smartened me up. I guess it would be fine if used behind a storm door. Thanks for tipping me off.
  • I just installed this in my door leading to my garage and the outside handle seems loose to me. It comes offset like 1/8 of a inch. Is that normal? I noticed that when I pull it out I can turn the handle almost 120 degrees. I hope it’s some sort of theft deterrent thing and not a faulty mechanism
  • Can you change any of the 30 codes all the time or can they not be changed once set?

the back part where you screw the lock didn’t work. the nails just kept slipping out

When I turn the key to try and tighten handle the entire handle well move not just the key part

I know I'm late to the party, but is there any way to edit the video? These can absolutely be used for exterior doors. The keypad side is designed for the elements, but the other side (battery housing) needs to face the interior. I spoke with a rep and the only application these cannot be used for is gate locks (where both sides will be exposed to weather). I hope this comment helps, as these are great security additions for a residential home.

Terrible demonstration of how to add a code.. just fluff fluff on how modern and slim it looks.
