Forcing my kids to sit on the couch and watch this with me later. They're always whining that I won't buy the junk. I keep telling them it's because I don't poison people I love.

I stopped eating processed food 5 years ago and I no longer have a problem with diabetes, chronic inflammation, high blood pressure, Chronic fatigue, bad teeth and gums, infections , sickness. Haven't been sick in over six years. I just weight train , get good sleep. And eat meat, eggs, fish and fat: butter, olive , avocado, coconut oils

I switched to the Paleo diet years ago and it was the smartest I've ever done. I'm 79 years old and my doctor (who specializes in geriatrics) says that I am the only patient my age that he has who's not on any meds at all.

I'm the father of a 4 year old little girl. I'm a single father, but I don't allow her to be with my mom without me present because my mother will feed her junk food if I allow her to stay, even if I say to mom don't feed my daughter junk food. She will say "oh it's OK, its not all the time and she'll just burn off all the junk food." Am I wrong for not allowing my daughter alone with her? My number 1 priority is protecting my child. I REFUSE to allow my daughter to grow up with negatively altered growth and higher chance of disease. I don't care what people say.

I know it can feel overwhelming, but if even every two weeks you remove one highly processed/high sugar item and replace it with a healthier option within a year you will have made an important impact on your health. Baby steps are still steps.

A few years back, I thought I'd like to volunteer to work for the American Diabetic Association. But as I dug into it and did my research, I was absolutely disgusted. I decided that in good conscience, I could not align myself with such a group. My ex-husband is diabetic. During a holiday, he was talking about what he was going to eat and I was alarmed! I tried to tell him the repercussions and what might be better choices for him, but he steadfastly refused to listen. He said it was fine because his dietitian said he should have these items. Bread? Juice, all day? Alcohol? I was horrified. How many other people are hearing the same thing he is? It makes me angry!
  • Pray for both of these men, they have great courage. And Calley's sister too

I am a retired Spanish, English, French teacher who taught for 50 years. Also battled diabetes for 30. As I was so tired of medications, my doctor recommended Ozempic to balance blood sugars and get off insulin. I accepted. It was NOT for weigh reduction. In 5 days, I would have been dead if concerned friends had not called EMS. Does it make one lose weigh? YES In 5 days I lost 30 lbs. I could not eat or drink liquids so my entire GI system was eroded. I had lost so much muscle mass I was unable to stand, walk, turn over in bed. Blood sugar 500. I was a skeleton in loose skin. Through IVs I survived. But during a month in the hospital and rehab, they did not have diabetic food to feed me. And because of the pain in swallowing, even drinking was painful. They did not have any sugar free protein drinks to supplement lack of nutrition. When released, I was carried into my house, carried like a baby and left. Quite obvious I needed to cure myself NOW. Researched and found exactly what you are saying. Completely changed diet. Tested blood to determine what impacted. Ate only those foods. Tossed most of prescriptions, especially for diabetes. Exercised. It has been 5 months. Today I walk and take care of myself. Although it was a nightmare where I was close to death, today I think more clearly and have almost normal blood sugars. I have left out many of the co-existing problems as it was a nightmare. Ozempic is poison. Anyone taking it is trading their soul and health to the devil as no one knows "long term" effects.
  • Man I am both disturbed by all this but also thankful for your YouTube channel. I think more people need to know about all this corruption. It is so concerning. Keep on making videos Doc!

The purpose of our government is to protect the income of big corporations. That is why they do what they do. Unless that changes, nothing else will.

This was so good. I am giving a presentation at Utah Dental Conference tomorrow on this topic and its effects on oral-systemic health. I am sending my attendees to this to get more information. Thank you so much

I remember in Business School back in ‘89 that one of our case studies was standing in the Coke product manager’s shoes to increase Coke sales by having Coke for breakfast, for snacks, as your preferred liquid source. I remember telling my group mates I wasn’t really invested in this particular case — you were expected to do your best for each case or the best you could — because pushing Coke for breakfast, snacks everyday and at every meal was absolutely, positively and morally wrong. Fast forward to 2024 and I see I all around me I was — unfortunately—right.

I wish we had a clone of Dr Hyman in every town in the UK. We so need to wake up to this. Nutrition is so fundamental to our health.
  • @nancywalker2256
The problem is people don’t know. I recently had to explain to someone in their mid 60s that a calorie is not a calorie. She as hoping her eclair was equal to my omelet.
  • @plumeria8357
It seems many young adults grew up on fast food and now their kids have parents who don’t have time or know how to cook.

When I visited a friend who was in the Psychiatric ward at a local hospital, there was free Coke for the patients in the room where they visited with friends. I complained about it but I am sure it did not make any difference
