  • Dope and honest review! I started with the original iMPC app years ago and had high hopes that it would be a solid solution for music making on the go. It just didn't match my style of production tbh.
  • I kinda like impc pro2s drawbacks, bugs and glitches lol.....Makes me even more determined to work around the hurdles and make bangers ....Akai ain't changing sheeeeeet
  • @TheWolvesDen
I switched to Beatmaker 3 from iMPC Pro a few weeks ago. I still feel arrangement in the akai app still makes more sense to me than in beatmaker 3 . The timeline view is less finicky. However the amount of glitches for iMPC was so buggy

You can actually map the PAD to your midi keyboard. Then you would able play sample or drum over your midi keyboard.

Lol!!! Response to (11:17)... That's just the Akai (workflow) way!!! They ain't getting back to you on that, ever!!! It's what makes the MPC fun....
  • @koncretebeats
Man I just started messing with phone/tablet production. Question…. How and why does the MPC audio engine sound so big and better the the rest? It’s wild. I use maschine hardware but if the hardware sounds like this I think I’m gonna switch. You have both what is your experience with the two?
  • @joegrant413
First time here, so good to hear someone who is just calling it as he sees it. Thanks
  • @ballardvibes
Agree that the sounds are great on the app. However, Akai is slow to respond to suggestions, bugs and changes to the app. I ended up going back to BeatMaker 3 because of ease of use and song mode.
  • Only thing good about this software is the sounds, BM3 destroys them with no hands. The drum roll is terrible and that definitely is not a akai thing.
  • Try the Perform tab, 16 levels. I think that's what you want to do. I think IMPC Pro 2 is very good but Beatmaker 3 blows it out of the water. Bad luck because if BM 3 wouldn't have come out when it did, IMPC Pro would have been the top dog for beat making, I think. I do like its piano roll editor for the way it works. I guess some people might like it better than bm3 if they don't need all of Beatmaker's cool features. You know, the old each to his own thing. It's like I will never understand anyone serious about recording and mixing not liking Auria Pro. They tell me they don't like the work flow, but every top daw on laptops has that kind of work flow. Why on iPad does it have to be totally different with less features. It's strange to me. But it the old each to his own thing.

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 That beat was dope @ the end.
  • @IsmTwentyTwo
Hey, great video... Does it work on apple devices only, or can I use an android tablet?
  • Thanks for letting me know about the plugins. Makes this actually usable now. I'm a keyboard player, so I like the tweak tab. I was able to plug in my keyboard and record a track right away using the Minimod. With something like the Minimod, you want a full screen so that you can "tweak" the knobs.

I enjoy the app. It’s the closest I’m gonna get to an MPC. The UI is really simple to grasp and you’ll have your own workflow down before you know it. The mono mixing is also a big plus.
  • @mattgloyn3928
I got an old MPD 218 ,MPC Element and an iPad Pro 1st gen ,is beatmaker 3 the best software for this set up ? Cheers
  • Can you use an MPC Studio with iMPC 2? If so and all the controls worked that would be crazy. I know they had MPC Element specifically for iMPC with iPad but they discontinued it. If anyone knows or uses that setup I'd appreciate you
  • I'm having the same issue with the kick cutting off when a bassline hits in between. It's annoying. I am still learning about the program. I want to try out BM3. It seems more solid than the impc. I chose to try out IMPC first since I had planned on buying an MPC live. I wanted to get a feel for the mpc program, before I decide that the mpc is the right choice.
