Using my 12 pro max pacific Blue and still love it , it is still going on strong 😊
  • I actually just came from a 12 Pro Max to the 15 Pro Max and I think it’s worth the upgrade. I only upgrade every 2-3 years and happy I decided to get this one. It’s going to be different for everyone but the standout points for me are the Battery, Display, Camera and the ability to play upcoming games for it when I’m at work. In regular use such as scrolling social media or searching the web, I personally can’t see much difference but it feels like a nice upgrade for me.

I upgraded from the iPhone 12 Pro Max to the iPhone 15 Pro Max primarily because I accidentally damaged one of the camera lenses, and my network provider offered me a great deal on the upgrade, which made economic sense. However, in terms of everyday use, I haven't noticed any significant differences. While the iPhone 15 Pro is indeed smoother, this improvement is not easily noticeable unless you're comparing the two devices side by side. As for the 120 Hz refresh rate, it seems to be a bit overhyped, especially by YouTubers. In regular use, it's not something that most people will notice, unless they're actively comparing devices. In reality, very few of us do that in our day-to-day activities. In my opinion, most of the newer smartphones are fast enough for 99.9% of users. If your older phone is still meeting your needs and performing well, there's no rush to upgrade. Only consider an upgrade if it's absolutely necessary.

Me and my wife both came from the iPhone 13 Pro Max phones to the iPhone 15 Pro Max phones and we are extremely happy with the choice. We had those phones for 2 years and we are not the every year upgraders. This was an easy choice for us to make. We are not worried about the durability on the phones. We both use a case and screen protector on both phones and we do not drop or mishandle the phones. When we trade in our old devices, the person at the store always says "WOW, these are still new phones" and we just say we take care of our phones and smile and wait for the new ones to be ready for use.

Solid info as always. Appreciate your diligence and sensible approach (implied controversy by others, for clicks, is so overcooked).

I upgraded from 12PM to 15PM this year. I feel like it's a very worthy upgrade. love the increased resolution of the main shooter, and the 5x zoom upgrade from 2.5 I passed on my 12PM to my mom that was still using an old iPhone 8 and was getting too hard on her eyes. I could feel the weight difference. The difference in the rounded edges wasnt really a difference for me, because I always use a case.

Great video as always, Aaron. One thing to consider also (especially if you are considering going from the 14 series to the 15series: If you bought a 14 Pro Max on sale from the carrier when they were offering $1K off the retail price in the form of monthly rebates, in order to take full advantage of that sale, you would HAVE to keep your 14 Pro Max for the entire time, which would amount to three years. If you upgrade early, you would either have to trade the phone in or pay it off entirely. If you paid the balance off entirely, you lose the monthly rebates of course, meaning that you would be responsible for the remaining cost sans rebates. I purchased my 1TB 14 Pro Max with the $1K rebate which would bring the entire cost of the phone to only $600, but the caveat being I have to keep it for the full term which is three years in my case. To me, it's worth it, and a great deal. I used to be one of those who would upgrade yearly, but it's not so important to me as much, since these phones last a long time, and I have a $1600 phone that I only will have paid $600 for in the end. Like I said earlier, just another angle to consider depending on what type of user you are. Cheers!

Excellent comparison video Arron thank you for sharing that information

I was thinking of upgrading from my current 12 Pro Max this years. After watching the video, I'm convinced that the upgrades are not worth the additional cost. Both phones seem remarkably similar in a lot of areas.

I love the 12 pro max...getting over 2 days battery life and the display is amazing.
  • @wdashwor
Thanks, Aaron. I really enjoy these iPhone comparison videos.
  • @TechlikeLeon
Nice video 🎉 I love these comparisons. I have an iPhone 13 and will stay on it for a while. I will maybe upgrade when the iPhone 16 comes out or even when the iPhone 17 comes out, we’ll see. Keep up making such great videos. Thanks 😊

WoW great review and exactly what I was looking for...again, such a great in depth review with awesome demos!
  • @RiannaNicole
i enjoy watching these videos, and have the 13 pro personally, and am gauging on when to upgrade myself as i don’t do it every year. this is my first long term iphone (briefly used 2nd gen SE before the 13 pro), and have had it since December of 2021. i’ll wait to see what the 16 has to offer and go from there.
  • @chronictown4330
Upgraded from the excellent 12 pro max for the ProMotion display, camera system and 1 TB Storage. And wow! 3 years of new (to me) features is a delight.
  • @ydnams
    Thankyou for sharing! Godbless
  • @darylh100
Thanks for pointing out the differences. I have a 12 Pro Max. Most of the features meet my needs. The camera would be the biggest improvement for me as I use it a lot for casual photography and weekend trip pictures. But i do have dedicated 35 mm with long range lens options for longer vacations. I will probably wait until iphone 16 Pro Max to upgrade.
