"Requiem" by Lithifusion, Zylenox and Fardreamer 100% (New Hardest) Extreme Demon #10

I'm not sure where I want to start with this, but I want to gather as many thoughts as I can right now in order to get you to understand the enormous accomplishment I have just done.

Requiem has been my favorite level of all time ever since it got rated back around late 2021. Unlike Bloodbath, it wasn't much of a dream of mine, since it was so hard that it barely even crossed my mind. Even with the release of LIMBO by MindCap and more, Requiem by Zylenox, Lithifusion and Fardreamer still stood high at the peak of my favorite levels of all time. Not just extreme demons or demons in general. Levels. And that hasn't and will never ever change.

I started playing this level for fun, just to get to the drop. I would play it from 0 a bit to learn it, and I slowly uploaded small progress videos, with no actual intention of learning any of it let alone fucking beating it. Athanatos was around top 500 - 600 and the time and Requiem had just recently fallen off of the legacy list. Somehow, by the blessing of God, I kept playing it more and more. I eventually started to realize that this could be a possibility. After months, I gave it my all. Many other extreme demons such as Ethereal Artifice and Berserk were attempted to be my first 2.2 extreme demon and 10th extreme demon, but in an insane turn of shocking events, that level ended up being Requiem; one of if not the most brutal memory levels that this game has ever seen.

My thoughts on Requiem:
It is as good as everyone else says it is, but it also does come with some objective problems. The level tends to be a bit buggy, although these bugs can be worked around very easily. I want to draw your attention to a few chokepoints, 28%, 34% to just name a few. Now, once you actually get comfortable with the level, these chokepoints don't really mean much, but the last UFO is the real kicker. I miraculously didn't end up dying to it, let alone the ending at all. This level isn't perfect, but it's damn near close. I can never get myself to learn memory levels, except this one, and I highly recommend anyone who's good enough at the game to try this level out. It is so worth learning and beating.

Also sorry I couldn't stream it. I would've streamed it if it weren't for the fact that this is one of the most object heavy levels in the entire game lmao. I'm so glad 2.2 fixed that so I was able to play this.

This is also my first completion above insane demon that I did without MegaHack v8 or any mods for the game. Completely vanilla GD. Very proud of myself. Even with the physics change in 2.2, I pulled off a top 161 demon.
