Aliens Kidnap A Human For Fun, Quickly Regret It! | HFY Sci-Fi Story

I enjoyed the story but I think we may have a new drinking game. Take a shot every time the reader says, "Barely restrained power". 🤣

Quasar goes from a grey-skinned, bulbous headed, black-eyed alien to one with a chitinous exoskeleton., then to a cybernetic construct, sheesh, give us a break...major flaw. Does the author forget what he writes? Quasar gets an up close and personal plasma bolt to the base of his skull, somehow survives , nope, stupid writing mistake. Without Athena, Timothy is pretty much an all brawn, few brains combatant. The ship manages to get to the EDI command center, evading the pursuit, no details, it doesn't matter.

This man got woke up in the middle of the night and wondered if it was a bear when there were lights coming through. I just want to know who the hell gave grizzly bears flashlights?

The author has to be a startrek fan. That's two species,1 from The Next Gen and 1 from DS9. Interesting to hear the Ferengi and Bajorans in these great Sci-fi tales! I listen to one every night before bed! It's becoming a bit of a ritual,lol.

I enjoy the story

"I'm going to take the innocent crowd member who is watching me be tortured for fun with me" That part of the story made no sense. Why would he care?

I heard a few of these and I'm just not a fan of "Final Option" scenarios, to me that screams "I give up". I can see humans being beaten initially but making a triumphant return. Battered Bruised and Pissed off. Also so much was spent initially, but a scant amount at the end. There was no real lead-up, surprised to discover that "we're not alone" and the abject horror of a huge armada inbound. Human beings are pounded into submission by the "aliens" only to realize that we are tenacious, crafty, and wrathful.

That's how you're ending the story???!!!

The jump at around 38:41 is a bit jarring.

An engaging story, but with many plot holes and character issues.
