Blue Lock is filled with intense, dramatic characters: Barou, RIn and Isagi to name a few. But there's one character who's always stood out to me as being VERY different to the others.

Marc Snuffy is regarded as "The best footballer in the world" of Blue Lock according to Noel Noa.

During the Ubers vs Bastard Munchen match, Snuffy is substituted in, and gives us possibly the greatest, most interesting backstory of any character in the show.

This is definitely my favorite video from you man. It just hits home for everyone. It's not like a "do this to change your life" it's a "do this to keep your life" kind of motivation it gives. Completely reassures the viewer that they should take on their dreams, even if a setback happens, or worse. As, you always have yourself, and must love yourself without your dreams. This is excellent work man. I tried so hard not to smile ear to ear because of how inspirational this all felt to me. I usually find myself doing several things to "find what's right" (this really ties in more to the Prince video, but yk) in my life. Like, goals and dreams. The idea of "If you have a back up plan, failure doesn't matter (or rather, shouldn't matter)" struck hard. I'm not one to stick with something, but this oddly made me more inspired to stick with something in my life. I frankly couldn't explain in words the joy I had just watching this video, and feeling relief at the realization that even if something doesn't work out, it's not the end. Living once doesn't mean you can't do the things you dream of and give up, it just means that you should try to do them, even if you fail. Failure isn't a guarantee, nor is success, and there's always the likelihood of others being at your level or beyond, and putting you down. But that chance is truly what drives us at the end of the day. We all want success, to be happy (as you mentioned in the Prince video, it doesn't stay forever, but it may help us be happy), to live our dream lives; but we don't want to suffer, or bear the risk of failure. This is then all tied back to your point of "Before you're a footballer, you're a person." I don't think you could have described the following ANY better: Even if you lose your dream or meaning of life, you'll always have yourself at the end of the day. Syncing your life to a goal or dream bears risk to something worse than failure. You cannot simply "lose everything" when you lose just one thing, unless that one thing is "everything". Simply put, it isn't the one thing which is life, but rather, the one thing is just part of your life. Required for living, to feed your family, etc. But several things can fill those bubbles, and it's important to accept failure as shown in Barou's awakening. Losing something doesn't mean it's the end, it could always, always be a new beginning in the shadows. The only moment you lose everything is when you lose yourself. It's hard to describe everything (hell, the video does it 20x better than I ever could.), but I think that with certainty I can say this is your best piece of work yet by a long shot. It could be the length of the video giving more details, it could be the editing style, the examples given, etc. But I think all of it is just some of your best work. Bravo man. Bravo.

This is why Snuffy is my favorite BL character, a proper adult and in contrast, the best player in the world. Hilarious how EGO aims to create the best striker, but the greatest footballer in the world's mentality is exactly the opposite to that of the best striker.
  • @SIXCHA
Anyone else think Ego was a keeper? He’s got a goal keepers build, and who else would be a perfect rival to a world class goal scorer? The person guarding the goal.
  • Watchig this made me relize Chigiri had this mentality and lesson from as early as first selection,. "I don't know how long my leg will last, but I want to believe in this new me. I will keep on running until my leg can't keep up anymore." " I don't care anymore. If it tears again, so be it".

I think Snuffy has a phoenix aura because he values his life, not saying they don't. But to understand that football doesn't come before everything and you're still a man.
  • @f2r693
In simple words, it's always fun to chase your dreams but you also need to be practical and open to other things which might just end up helping you to achieve those dreams.
  • @Harikumaran
This shows just how mature snuffy is i might revisit this video specifically many times sometimes, we wouldn't hold ourselves back and so our surroundings too
  • I'd always give my heart out for Snuffy 🫶🏼 Objectively one of the best written characters in bllk and subjectively my favorite character. I remember when reading the chapter I found it a little out of character when he would be excited because of Barou's rebellion, but the more I thought about his history, the more I realized how much the tragedies in his life sealed his ego away, his passion for his profession. And it broke my heart to realize how he forced himself to be so controlling, just because he was so scared of the future. He started to be a type of player who plans everything ahead, so that he maintains control over what happens and I'm sure that's how his life outside the field was too. It's very clear that he fell into some kind of depression because of that traumatic experience. I really hope we can see more about him and Barou and how this match affected him. Since Ubers vs Manshine will play, we can see what happens next between those two, as well as Nagi hopefully giving his all agaim. (I hope Ubers will win tho)

Please check the description for the link to the original animation used in the intro, the music used etc. These guys extremely kindly agree for everyone to use their work so please show them some appreciation for that! Hope you enjoyed this - I'm gonna have a re-read of the Barcha game at some point to see if there's one I can make on Lavinho too: would be cool to have one for all of the masters!
  • Dude like to party and speaks about mental health support. Hes got my vote.
  • @khaledyasser8293
This feels like the entire lesson of Mob Psycho 100. You're just a person at the end of the day. No matter how much you succeed that won't change. And no matter how much you fail that won't change. So do whatever the fuck you want.
  • @TheRayerrr
The yin and yang in this manga goes crazy
  • @Anon-qp3kt
It’s ironic that the author designs a character around the most egoistical striker in this era but flips the mindset around
  • @kadenspence9235
My only complaint about this “very long video” is that it ended. I love everything you release
  • Chapter 229 was the best BL chapter in quite a while, holy shit I had to take a moment after reading it for the first time
  • @tswyjr6244
Antoinne Greizmann of BlueLock. Snuffy is such a great guy and a capable player. One of my favorites in the Manga is definitely the ideal foil to the essence of the show. Also Everyteam Snuffy plays for wins! so his methods definitely works, he's the kingmaker amongst the kings of football in bluelock
  • You probably won't even see this comment creator but this video made me cry, because there is something in life that i want to achieve, a childish nonsensical dream so it is pretty scary to think it can all go away in an instant, but that doesnt mean i wont live for the dream, if i fail somewhere along the way, i am gonna keep trying , i always get back up, and if i still fail, i will die honourably. Thank you man, i never write such kind of comments but life has been real tough lately but this is also where i grow the most so i will continue growing, thank you once again.
  • @jonathanshortall
I just caught up to the manga today, after steamrolling the juve match. Defo think the panels of snuffy finding mick might be some of the most powerful in the series.
