Nilou is finally rerunning after almost a year and a half! So it’s time to cover some advanced use and gameplay that might help her out. Be aware that, as always, in this series, we skip the basics and explore more niche topics.

  • Proud to be part of the 13.7%! Another fun tip is that Nilou charges the Parametric Transformer really quickly and easily. Just pop her hydro aura up and stand close and watch those percentages tick up (This is also your reminder to use your Parametric Transformer if you've forgotten)

If only hoyo release hydro character who utilizing elemental mastery in their kit

Another level of "new touch" to Nilou's team with Nahida is Nahida´s E2. With the ability for the blooms to crit make it so satisfying to see them go puff for 80k ahaha

Something I would like to add is Nilou can be quite strong if you build her with full hp main stats and crit subs on a marachusse set, it’s not “optimal” but it allows her to deal strong dmg herself while blooms still pop.
  • @flowerlamps
this is so helpful!! so many people have the misconception that your entire team needs em
  • @xiaouoba
my personal team is nahida+nilou+baizhu+furina nahida and furina has great personal damage while baizhu+blooms generate fanfare stacks
  • @rockmsp_art
Thanks for the tips. I did 10 pulls for Kirara but got Nilou with her.
  • @patty4449
Yall should really check the pictures in the new theater mode... 2 new characters teased by those...

Friendly reminder that Nahida doesn't share her EM, not necessarely: she shares the EM of the character with the most in the team, who is generally going to be Kokomi in her 2H2D Nilou team so you can mindlessly build DMG Bonus and CRIT on her if you happen to have better gear with those stats. A couple more things: Kokomi can use OHC which is actually preferred among Kokomi mains and some speedrunners; Barbara really wants Sac Fragments too exactly like Kokomi (the E cooldown is very long); 3H1D has always been competitive (Nahida on field + Kokomi and XQ/Yelan), it should be definitely mentioned. Finally I think Nilou's value without Nahida is underestimated in this video like elsewhere. Even in the rifthounds example (the small ones at least, the big ones are cringe for Kokomi even more than Barbara) they are very clingy enemies who always dash at you and you can exploit that: yes Barbara's off field hydro has awful range, but like Nilou you can easily hit and apply hydro to one enemy at a time generating many blooms at slightly different times which don't reach the 2x0.5s cap. So you generally spam N3 animation canceling the last normal with a dash, which both moves you closer to different enemies around you (hitting them with the ring at different times) and changes your target better distributing your hydro application. Downsides are more reliance on enemies being very close to you and if you are that aggressive with the N3 dash combo you also consume more stamina, but even Kokomi mains interrupt their NA chains with dashes so that's not different at all, so in the end in the most ideal scenarios you generate pretty much the same blooms. About Nahida, again compared to the DMC+Collei duo in ideal scenarios the difference isn't really that striking, taking properly advantage of all that dendro aura is actually hard; where Nahida really shines is as you mentioned when enemies don't stay that close with each other (DMC and Collei will struggle to hit all of them consistently) but very importantly in single target: there all your application is concentrated on one enemy all the time and it becomes much easier to overwhelm dendro, at the same time you generate less blooms simply because you have just one target for reactions. In that case Nahida's denser dendro gauge easily gives you more blooms, which is a significant damage increase as long as your hydro can keep up with it (Kokomi, Barbara, Xingqiu). So where Nahida really shines compared to a DMC+Collei duo with Kokomi/Barbara is comfort, ease of play, reliability in AoE and sensibly better bloom production in ST. Overall nice video 👍

THANK YOU for an updated guide for nilou, so many people skipped her when she first came out so most people dont have her, so as well the guides wasn't as accessible or hardly existed.
  • @aquarian3046
What I got from this Niloun guide is that I absolutely need Kokomi.
  • @TkK1122

  • @huando16
I subbed as soon as I heard explain about Elemental Units!!! And who should full EM why ? Thanks man, waiting for more of your well researched stuffs!!😊😊
  • @coleen-rx5bu
thanks for the tips on rotation and team building! this is actually the first time i finally understood what the units of [element] meant for reactions lol, as a first time nilou haver i'm trying my best to learn how she works 😄question – what's a good sword? do i just leave her on the dockhand's assistant, or give her an r1 xiphos? thanks!
  • @ArnvalArn
Yes this is currently the best nilou guide so far.. Not everyone knew who triggers most of the bloom and they dont know about elemental gauge.. Most of them put full EM on everyone😅
