Note how they straddled the line. The argument is what is an unofficial act. Now, case delayed for lower court🤢 again.

Ok, presidential immunity for official acts, but none for unofficial acts. Great, set the trial dates now!
  • Since the Supreme Court votes along party lines it should be changed to where the american people vote for the justices instead of having them appointed.

They discuss here at length three dissenting judges which are not the court's biding decision. The court stated that Presidents have absolute immunity for official acts stemming directly from the Constitution and immunity from criminal prosecution for all their official acts done while in the office of President.

Context, context, context, the ruling was exactly how I thought it would be and I am not a lawyer. The media and the legal community failed to crystalize the issue for the American public. The Justices allowed two separate issues of absolute immunity to be argued on one set of facts. The only question that should have been asked and discussed was, whether a President has absolute immunity from crimes that he, or she, committed while in office. According to the ruling, a President does not have absolute immunity from crimes, he commits, while in office.
