In this #kingdomcomedeliverance video, i go through the pros and cons of both the Stables and the Guard House for the forge building in the from the ashes dlc in Pribyslavitz. This guide contains expenses and revenue reports and will hopefully help you choose which upgrade to go with. Also includes new bow, new horses, new caparisons, and new horse armor. #WarhorseStudios #KCD

Wish there werent options at all but you could just build everything. theres plenty of room behind the church and could expand it farther.

I went straight for the guards, because seriously, it's war out there in 1403 Bohemia. I'm not building a new hamlet just to leave it defenseless.

Roleplay wise, build a guardhouse. Henry lost his village due to foreign incursions. He'd be a lot more worried about the security of the village he rules over, over something like horse parking.

The 3 Horses are references for those who don't know Shadowfax = Gandalfs Horse Argo = Horse from Shadow of the Colossus Shadowmere = Darkbrother hood horse from Elder Scrolls Series

Haha a LOTR, Shadow of the Colossus, and Skyrim reference all in one shot.... Flexing those nerd muscles arent we Warhorse?

Warhorse studio reminds me of cd projeckt red due to them seeming like genuine nice people they made the game because they love the fantasy setting look at the horses like a nerds love letter i like it there's no microtransactions and i doubt warhorse will ever add it to there game's unless they make a fee to play game like cd projeckt red did and no season pass thats a plus im hoping for a Kingdom come deliverance 2 at some point and continue Henry's story
  • Honestly I would have loved to have the option of customizing the equipment of your own guards, that would have been so cool.

I'd say the Stables are the best bet since the "best bow" isn't really all that great, the draw time is ridiculously long, the actual highest DPS bow in the game is the Cuman bow, its the 4th highest in damage but has a faster draw speed than the 3 above it so it can pump out more arrows which is great for horseback archery when kiting out multiple enemies, it's also less of a loss when you miss a shot since you don't need 12 seconds to re-draw it. If you're gonna do the stables then do the armor-smith too, they go together, and armor-smiths accept more sales than weapon smiths. After you kill some cumans or bandits most people will strip their most valuable gear, and some chain chausses and a noble coif will sell for the same as about 10 swords but they weigh way less. You'll get more money and usefulness out of armorsmith+stable combo, it's no contest really.

I'm coming way late to all of these videos, unfortunately, but imo you completely failed to mention the best part of the Guardhouse...the combat arena. If you love the combat, like I do, the ability to custom select an opponent by skill level, armor loadout and weapon type is huge. And the best armored opponents can take more of a beating that Bernard in Rattay for longer fights and more chances to level up. That being said, I also have Shadowmere on one of Playlines and I love him lol

Bit of a shame that you can't have both, that goes for the Baker or the Butcher thing as well.
  • My main problem with the guardhouse is that the walls are so limited. I find it real hard to believe that Sir Divish would be happy with just having his brand new, just rebuilt settlement completely open to attack from basically every direction. So when you build the guardhouse, its kind of like having a gate but no fence on either side of it. However, I also have a problem with the Stables, which is the village is bound to expand in all directions for residential and agricultural development. The problem there is that with where the stables ends up built, its impossible for it to expand. So what would happen realistically is that the Pribyslavit stables would end up being the worst out of the three major stables in the region (The other two being Uzhitz and Neuhof) due to its lacking facilities and grazing land. Narratively and realistically, you should choose the Guardhouse. But if you want more of something to show for your commitment in game then you should build the stables.
  • I love KCD I’m getting the DLCs once my internet is sorted because i love how much of a true RPG it is having to learn skills like reading and writing and how to look after your weapons, clothing and armour

You can also find the boar-sheild in the encampment in the Band of Bastards DLC
  • @tofu8676
roleplaywise a guardhouse is more fitting since there are already stables in Uschitze, Neuhof and Merhojed which are all close together up there. Also the town is surrounded by woods so yeah. same goes for the baker/butcher. A bakery in the middle of the woods with no surrounding farms... i don't know.

Love these helpful guides. I just recently started from the ashes dlc
  • @suhbro5928
Stable because Henry can kill everyone in the game by himself so there's no need for guards

More than just the items you can get from guard house, the guard house combat also allows you to do training. You can set the skill level of the sparring partner, you can set the armour level, as well as what weapons. It is like a upgraded, more customisable version of Captain Bernard's training.
