I thought the Trail Blazers made even more of an effort in this first game under Chauncey Billups in getting Jusuf Nurkic more involved, particularly over that first 15 possessions. He rewarded them with a 15-point, 10-rebound, 4-assist, 1-steal (and five turnovers) game in just 23 minutes. The 3-pointer looked smooth, he looked at ease in the Blazers’ new pick-and-roll scheme, and certainly had more positives than negatives in this opening game. A few clips that stood out to me:
