It's okay not to feel okay, especially with everything going on in the world. Sometimes our bodies tell us we need to rest, to stay in our safe space (like our beds), and to find comfort in nostalgic things. And it's ok to listen. Here's to when we feel ready to get up and out of these slumps x

I heard in a podcast that said, “it’s important to live life by design rather than emotion. Basically, sticking to a routine is what allows us to be the healthiest version of ourselves (especially when you're fighting these demons ex. OCD for me). I’ve had to overhaul how I approach taking care of my brain (exercise, journaling, studying etc) by practising mediocre consistency. Now I try to put in consistent 40-60% effort into my journaling habit - to make sure I do it I began recording it and posting it on my yt channel. After a really bad depression phase I started to believe I couldn’t change and I’d feel that horrible forever. Historically I have a habit of going too hard, not being able to sustain the Herculean effort, giving up and hating myself. So now I’m trying to give a small, consistent mediocre effort everyday. And its crazy how it adds up. I’m still figuring out how to be a person again, reintegrate into society but right now I have a solid foundation that I’ve never had before.

Finally someone who can admit that life is not always happy and sometimes we go through rough times. I appreciate the honesty of the struggle. Hiding under the duvet, I know the feeling
  • This is by far my fave vid of yours, it encapsulates perfectly how lonely I’ve been feeling, and how slow I’ve been taking things during the pandemic. Listening to you feels like talking to an old friend.

It’s exactly the kind of Vlogs I need atm. I moved from my country a few months ago and with everything that’s going on, I’m not able to see my family, I’m truly struggling with mental health issues so thank you for this video. We’re not lonely 🙏🏾

Thank you for being so real and sharing your vulnerability. I too find it so hard to leave my bed every day, I just want to escape from it all. It's so wonderful and healing to know that I'm not alone, and because of this it helps me want to feel better. We are constantly inundated with images of toxic perfectionism, that really puts you down after a while. I hope that we can all be real and come together to heal. Love ourselves flaws and all, that is what makes us unique and special.

you are definitely not alone. thank you for speaking about how mental illness can be glamorized in self care content. 10000% too real. sending you lots of healing energy <3

I feel like I get to process my guilt from my lack of productivity with you when you make videos like this. It feels like way less of a burden when you're sharing it with me. Thank you, friend <3 You're appreciated always.
  • I know this is a late comment, but I recently found this video. I did a search on depression/anxiety. Earlier this year I was in a very dark place, struggling with the smallest things, especially getting out of bed. Feels like I'm getting better, even though I still have bad days and I have to keep forcing myself to do things, even taking care of myself. Anxiety has been a big struggle over last couple of months. It's tough but we all have to keep soldering through it. I have to watch videos to keep me motivated and get my butt off the couch or bed. I try to do small tasks everyday and hopefully eventually it will progess to more daily.. Thank you for this great video, I will watch it over again if/when I need to. God bless. 🙏❤

You are so eloquent and I love the way you speak about important topics like sustainability or mental health 🤎 Such a good video. Lots of love from Germany!
  • @halieransom
Thank you for this. I'm a therapist and I'm in a massive depressive and OCD episode right now.
  • @jasminerillen
I am going through the same thing at the moment. Feeling stressed and anxious because I'm about to turn 29 in May. I even fell into a depression state and started out of nowhere crying while at work last week. It was weird for me. But just the feeling of being close to 30 and feeling like you haven't accomplished nothing is just an awful feeling. 😔

It can all be so overwhelming. But even in dark times, you're still a bright light. Please rest and recover (and repeat as necessary). 💗🌟💗

  • @TanayaSinead
Thank you for always being so authentic in your videos, it's really comforting to know that we're all having difficult times and slumps we have to pull ourselves out of. Something I find social media is lacking is more people like you, so thank you for sharing your life and some of those not so happy moments with us, xo
